According to Amazon.com, Red Orchestra 2:Heroes of Stalingrad will be released on July 5th, 2011. I do not know if this is a reliable source

That's only the third date they've posted... I'll wait for the Official word.

I must be out of the loop the word I had gotten was 1st quarter 2011? July is summer or 3rd quarter if not mistaken

I know steam store originally said Q1 2011 but now only shows 2011. Unless im thinking of a different game but im 90% sure im not.

You are right it said Q1 2011.

I listened to the crosshairs webcast where they were at TWIs studio Gibson mentioned several things not finished or even started on. I dont remember what things specificly but the impression I got was there was at least a couple if not more months before the game was ready for release.

I know people dont usually like to hear about games being delayed but I actually dont mind, getting tired of developers releasing games unfinished.

Bad company 2 was released and I remember that supid thing where everyone couldnt connect to ea online. So I bought the game on release day but really had to wait another week or 2 to actually play. What bunch of crap

Also Black ops with servers crashing repeatedly and not showing up, along with studering BS, and SP campaign getting stuck right before the end of the game. Ontop of many other things others experienced.

So I dont mind if TWI is going to push it back a bit, I know if they do its because they want quality on release.

amazon are nearly always the last people to know the release date.
i have seen it before where they just put up a random date when the exact relaese date isnt known.
so i wouldnt be worried by this.

The guys at Tripwire likely will not release their shooter until they feel they have tested to their level of satisfaction. After all they are putting their names/reputation on this, and they normally are more critical of themselves than their clients. Refreshing IMHO in this day and age of release it and let it start generating revenue, then when we have time we will worry if it is broken or not.
