Default A Friendly Note to Lazy Bones & Lurkers

Ever see this?

Comments Welcome..

THAT..... is not decoration. Its there to instigate participation. As are my comments following most posts.

There's only a few thoughts derived from a lack of participation on the part of those reading the threads in the site.
  1. They're to lazy to take a minute to register so they CAN participate.
  2. Those who are registered and can post their comments are incapable of writing coherently or, simply don't care one way or another. Which by the way, leaves them no right to gripe later on.
  3. Those who feel the news doesn't and won't affect them in any way... (they're kidding themselves)

Seeing eighty plus guests almost constantly on site leave little doubt the threads aren't being "read".

Believe this, there are media correspondents browsing also... your comments will be noted and can possibly, have an effect. So make yourselves heard. You never know, your opines just might make a difference.

Its been "said"..... many enjoy reading the "Ed Note" remarks included in many of the articles. That's a good thing...

What would be an even better thing is to see your input under the Comments Welcome..
heading... after all, turnabout is fair play. Others may enjoy what you have to say.

Remember, we fully support Responsible Free Speech so please, go ahead ..tell it like it is. Or, at least as you see it.

It was the lack of participation that caused the demise of codboards in the end. Sure, they were hacked again, but had there been high enough participation, I'm sure Anthony Quon would have kept the site going.

Exactly. There's plenty of lurkers.... (those who read, fail to either log in or register - forget posting).

At least here, people get the opportunity to make themselves heard, debate the issues in an adult manner without repercussions and at the same time, socialize free of undue censorship.

Brexit and the US Presidential Election are, without a doubt, two of the most momentous events in this time of ours. Yet the lurkers choose to continue with either lockjaw and/or arthritic fingers.

Wake up people before you lose a good thing.

Indeed, we had a huge number of lurkers, but little activity. Once the mod tools disappeared from COD, the demise of codboards was inevitable. That, however, should not be the case here. Here we have news and politics to discuss. There is so much more here. It's not just gaming, but, it would seem people don't appreciate a good forum anymore.

Sadly, the recent generations (the I/ME Generations) are more interested in console games, hand held games and social media via cellphones.

When they finally do look up from their gadgets, they'll exclaim; "What happened? Everything was cool last week."

Here, at least we can converse while exchanging ideas, impressions and opinions on just about everything frpm current events to of course, computer gaming.
Its amazing, we have before us two major world events... BREXIT and the US Presidential Election which by the way, is the most interesting Election in decades ..... yet we see little if any reaction/input on the part of anyone. Do they really not care? If so, no wonder the world is a mess.
Its up to the users, subscribers and lurkers to enliven the various boards we have here for them to enjoy.

Which reminds me...

What are if any, the new developments on your side of the pond? Please answer in the appropriate forum(s). Maybe we can awaken the sleeping giants and get things rolling.
