Question Theater mode

My theater mode seems inconsistent. It only recorded 2 of the 8 maps I played tonight. Someone mentioned that there was a setting on the server to control some of this. Anyone else heard of that? We play mixed gametypes but I can't find a setting anywhere.

I can't get Theater Mode to work...at all. We have an unranked private 8 slot GSP-hosted server. When I go into TM it says I need to "play online", so I've tried playing on a few pubs both via MM and browser...still nada.
I'd like to get this to work as one of players is a bit "too good" and this is the only way I can think of to see the game-play from his view...even if it'll only be the 3rd person angle. Never thought I'd say this, but I miss PunkBuster!
