Help with Carepackage script.
Hi guys ,well to say i like the work what are you doing for us,also i was reffered on this site by Tally(thanks Tally) also like the Demon Mod and his features.
Tally send me the raw files of his mod(once again thanks)i decided to take Carepackage script and put it in my mod,but i got a lot of errors when i compile stuff like (unable to load weapon carepackage_grenade_mp and etc)i'm using mod which has OW base,i don't know if i took right files from the raw files that Tally send me ,also the _hardpoints.gsc script that's in raw contain all killstreaks and i want just to test carepackage so i got a lot of errors when the game is running "script complie error"missing files so i don't know how to delete the rest of the code and leave just carepackage,also know i have :hardpoints.gsc and in that gsc files i have gsc files of AC130,Nuke and standard stock cod 4 hardpoints,i would like if someone could help me combine carepackage with my hardpoints.gsc and also tell me which files i need to put for this one to work,because extracting files is not a problem but script

Post your script runtime errors. I can't really help unless I know what the errors are.
To get a proper reading of all the runtime errors, enable logfile before you lanuch and test your mod. To enable logfile, set this in your server config file:
This will produce a file named console_mp.log. Open it with a text editor, and scroll through it looking for the words "script runtime error". Post the results here for analysis.

The error is caused when you have duplicate functions. Remove playSoundinSpace() at line 1965 of _hardpoint.gsc.

As a modder, you must learn to read and understand error messages. This error message was pretty clear and straightforward. You shouldn't have needed to ask me what was causing it - it was already self-evident. In future, try to understand what the error message is saying, and see if you can solve them yourself.

if i remove that i get bad syntax error ,i have trouble defining function when i delete that i will try .

If you get a syntax error, then post it here. It will probably be because you aren't removing the function properly.

I fixed this error by myself  now what files i need to extract for carepackage to work,and i'm getting error when compling with makeMod.bat from OW that it's unable to load"weapon_carepackage-grenade_mp"

I don't know why you have moved all my carepackage code out of its own GSC file and copied it to the foot of _hardpoints.gsc, but in the process of doing this you have created syntax errors - missing curly and round braces, etc. When you asked me for my RAW assets because you said you were making your own mod, I assumed you were competent enough to be able to do this on your own. It seems that assumption was mistaken. If you aren't experienced enough to write your own code, or port someone else's work into a mod you are making, then perhaps you shouldn't be doing this; perhaps this is all a bit to advanced for you.
I don't have the time to sit here and nursemaid you through the process of coding, so I am going to advise you to give the idea up, and stick with running mods other people have made. Only tackle a new custom mod when you are experienced enough to do it.

I just asked to tell me where to put and what to put ,is that too hard to do ?when you started modding did you know all the stuff from at start i guess no,i will fix this on my own,because i see wrong idea was asking you for a favor

So, let me get this straight: you ask me for my source files, and I give them to you, but that isn't doing you a favour? I see. I get the picture. I suggest you quit with the insults, otherwise, I will withdraw my consent for you to use my source files. If I did that you would not be able to post a download link on a forum without me informing everyone that you didn't have permission to use my stuff. You would then be shunned for stealing someone else's work. So, don't make me regret giving my files to you.
Also, remind me please: where or when did I say I would help you build this mod? Because I distinctly remember you giving me the impression you were competent enough to do this on your own when you said "I am building my own mod". Basically, if you can't code properly, you aren't ready to make your own mod.

Look, it's very simple: I have given you good advice when I tell you you aren't ready to make your own mods because your coding abilities leave a lot to be desired, but you have taken it the wrong way, and taken it personally. I suggest that it is YOU that needs to take it easy. There is no shame in being a noob, only if you think being called one is somehow an insult.
Now, I'm done with this. I will just take this final opportunity to thank you for making me regret giving out my source files, which I did against my better judgement. As I said, I wont be doing it again.

Look Tally i don't know why do you regret sir? because over emails you told me "I'd be happy to help" "Come on forum we can talk better than trough email" what you want more from me you sad come on forum we can talk better is that way to tell somebody come on forum i will help you with the carepackage script,so i did what you told me to i started topic ,and asked polite "please Tally help me " so don't take it personally but it makes me angry when somebody say i regrett for giving raw files ,and i did all what you asked,i was polite instead of that you anwswerd me stop doing this ,you'r not able to make your own mod ,i know i'm noob at scripting but it would be cool from you side if you already told me to come here just to say i can't help you,i didn't insulte you first,you started first with saying me "i will not sit here and walk you trough process" then i wonder why i even started (Help) topic

Your ATTITUDE has made me regret it. You saying that you asked for a simple favour and I wouldn't oblige. That!
As for telling you to come here and start a thread, I didn't for a second think it would be because your coding skills were almost none existent. I thought it would be a matter of getting all my files, functions, and assets to work. My stuff is very different from other mods. I invented my own functions and I am aware that they are tricky to understand. So, I offered to help. But coding should be a given to someone who professes to be "making a mod of their own".

Well sir that's why i'm here to make your stuff work in my mod i came here because of that,and you offered your help,but again don't take this as insulte or personally but i imagine your post should be like this :Tell me what doesen't work with carepackage,which files are you giving you a trouble smth like that "but not the agressive start,because i came here ,you made the script so you know it better then anybody else, so i asked which files i need that is not related to scripting you could help me with that ,but you didn't anwers on that either.And we are going too much offtopic .

Topic - script compile and runtime errors.
Cause: poor coding ability on your part.
My answer: if you can't code properly, don't try to make a mod of your own.
