Going into the hospital on Monday for some pretty big surgery. I've been dealing with Diverticulitus(google it:d) since August when I spent 5 days in the hospital and was diagnosed. Monday @ 12:30 they're cutting me open and removing a chunk of my colon. What a pain in the ass(pun intended). If all goes well I should be out in 7-10 days. Hope to be back soon...2 weeks without my pc and COD4 is gonna cause some serious gaming withdrawals!. I'll have a laptop in the hospital but it's a Mac:frown:

Good luck Meat, had a friend go through the very same thing, it does "suck." Only thing you could say for him was he was a very big guy and he lost a bunch of weight, but a heck of a way to do it! Fortunately, he is doing better so there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Thx guys. Appreciate it. The normal stay is about 7 days but due to my incredibly large belly :p they say I'm a high risk for a wound infection so I may be in a bit longer. I do hope to lose quite a bit a weight myself through all of this. Heck of a way to do it!

Well, after a 4 1/2 hour surgery and 10 days in the hospital I'm finally home and doing well. Still hobbling around like an 80 year old man and have quite a few weeks of recovery in front of me but so far everything has gone quite well. Glad to be back online again.:wink1:

Well I haven't counted them or asked anyone yet but I have a very large incision and from the looks of it I'd say at LEAST 60+ staples plus I have about 15 large tension sutures which are kinda strange looking. Looks like I have a bunch of white plastic handles all down the front of my belly
