RO: Custom map request

Have you had the chance to preview or play "RO-16-04-1945" ? Any chance of giving it a quick look this weekend? This is a CA map that I have heard both good and bad reviews so far, if possible can you give it the "once over" (if you have not already done so) for us and see what you think?

Look, if the people who are making these maps do not care to have them running on Servers other than those they favor.... that's fine.

I am NOT going chasing looking for hard to find maps because someone is playing favorites or whatever. They all know where the RO Forums are. They all know of us and other support sites for RO. If they cannot make the map generally available, it ain't gonna happen. I'm tired of the goofy politics on the RO platform.

I used to hunt maps until I found some lowlife creeps were banning me for fear of my downloading a map and offering it for our players on our server. Screw that crap. They want to selfishly hang on to a particular map that bad?? Let 'em keep and shove it where the sun don't shine! Offering maps exclusively on a "specially favored" server breeds nothing but deep contempt.

All these fools are doing is creating further rifts in the platform and hastening its decline. But that's OK, it was a concept originally introduced by TWI themselves by playing favorites with the surreptitious 50 player server BS.

I guess its true, what goes around.... comes around.

I know him for a long time. Its a wonderful site. Truthfully? He does a great job in supporting the community. I always check his site after I look through the RO forums.

But if ppl are going to offer their maps there......... and then protest, by offensive actions, that they care not to share the map in actual reality. Then, what is one to think? It's either for everyone to enjoy or, the goofball tactics become clearly evident.

The RO platform seem to be partially populated by those who seem to think they "have it all figured out". Their Epiphany is immediately eminent!

Got to play a version of Arad yesterday, Winter Beta 3. Have you had the opportunity to check this version out? I know Winter Beta 2 is up and running on the RGN "Semper Fi " RO:OST Custom map server presently, but this version seems a little more interesting with snow falling, added barb wire tio slow down the infantry from sneaking up on the armor, etc.. Love to try it out with the AB Mutator:p

Is this Sichs' work? He was on playing with me and Spartan and the server was jamming. Of course there were like 20 custom maps loaded up on this particular server and wouldn't you know the majority (by one or two votes) voted for the vanilla stock RO Arad, and the server emptied instantly, myself included! :frown:
