Are there already some map paks that are hosted somewhere that contain most of the custom maps listed in the mod?

I've been to all the usual places and have found many of them already but if someone's hosting packs that would save some time.

those that are listed in the mod all run on my servers in 13 mappacks (30-40 mb each) they can be downloaded from my site (altho you do need to register to download then (obviously for banwidth reasons is registration required))

on the forums there there is a topic that lists which mappack contains which maps

its the site stated in my sig.

edit:

correction...this sig doesnt have the site.lol....my normal one does..but this board doesnt allow flash embeded....

Is there a way to allow the map selection voting via the menu section but still allow the current map to play out before rotating to the next map? I see the section for voting at the end of the map but I want all of the custom maps available for selection. The way I have things set now if someone calls a vote and it passes it rotates in the middle of a match.\

edited...I assume that this is what I'm looking for:

//************************************************** ********************************
// Vote Limiter
// This feature allows you to cycle voting on & off during a match/round.
// It was created to combat the vote spammers that disrupt gameplay on the server.
//************************************************** ********************************
// Enable Vote Limiter?
// 1 = Yes, timer begins when the "Vote Menu Delay" finishes (if it was enabled).
// 2 = Yes, timer begins when match starts. The "Vote Menu Delay" will end here.
//set ex_vote_limiter "1" // 0 = No, 1, 2 = Yes (default = 0)

// Time (in seconds) to allow voting.
set ex_vote_enable_time "150" // 0 = None, 9999 = Max (default = 120)

// Time (in seconds) to disable voting.
set ex_vote_disable_time "420" // 0 = None, 9999 = Max (default = 240)

//************************************************** ********************************
// Vote messages
//************************************************** ********************************
// Shows voting is enabled/disabled for x minutes messages
// Also shows.. if vote delay is enabled ..the message "voting is disabled for the first x minutes"
// 0 = none, 1 = enabled above compass, 2 = enabled center screen, default = 1
set ex_vote_msg "0"

We have all gametypes set to 20 minutes max. Could I not just set the delay to 900 or 15 minutes?

Also another question while I'm at it. For the map voting system at the end of the round. It selects 5 random maps. I have no time to test this so to save time can someone confirm if this includes all maps or just stock ones?

If I may... this is called the "ingame vote" and this mechanism is hardcoded in the game.
Thus there is no known way AFAIK to prevent it changing the map in the middle of the game.
This is why back in the COD1 days the "endmap vote" function was introduced by modders.

Sorry for the onslaught of questions here. I'm trying to set up a private clan only server for the weekend and I'm heading out of town and we've never used the voting systems at all.

I just don't have time to test all of the various settings to see how they function.

So you're saying that there's no way of allowing in game voting without having the current round cut short if a vote is passed.

Will the end map voting allow for all maps on the server or does it just pick the five random maps from the set rotations or even stock maps only?

Exactly.

I think it's a number of maps (not limited to 5 any more) from the rotation.
But this has to be confirmed by Marc, as I'm no WW2X specialist :p

Radio,

I've never used this - I prefer the ingame system myself - but you can have up to 50 maps to vote on at the end of the match . . . could get ugly though because it is unlikely that any 2 people will pick the same map with 50 to choose from . . . could take awhile unless your all on team speak/ventrillo . . .

if you use the vote limiter and set the time to disable vote to 900 then the callvote menu is disabled for 15 minutes....so if your gametime is set to 20 then they can vote the last 5 minutes (depending on the vote enable time (from 1 to 300 in this case))...so this isvery much possible

so:

//************************************************** ********************************
// Vote Menu Delay
// Delay (in seconds) to prevent access to the vote menu after map start. This will
// prevent the first player that connects from switching maps before others arrive.
//************************************************** ********************************
set ex_vote_menu_delay "900" // 0 = None, 1 - 9999 = Delay (default = 0)

//************************************************** ********************************
// Vote Limiter
// This feature allows you to cycle voting on & off during a match/round.
// It was created to combat the vote spammers that disrupt gameplay on the server.
//************************************************** ********************************
// Enable Vote Limiter?
// 1 = Yes, timer begins when the "Vote Menu Delay" finishes (if it was enabled).
// 2 = Yes, timer begins when match starts. The "Vote Menu Delay" will end here.
set ex_vote_limiter "1" // 0 = No, 1, 2 = Yes (default = 0)

// Time (in seconds) to allow voting.
set ex_vote_enable_time "300" // 0 = None, 9999 = Max (default = 120)

// Time (in seconds) to disable voting.
set ex_vote_disable_time "900" // 0 = None, 9999 = Max (default = 240)

would give 15 minutes with callvote disabled right from mapstart....then 5 minutes enabled....then again 15 minutes disabled etc (but in your case the maptime is set to 20 minutes so its 15 mins no callvote...5 minutes callvote enabled...end map)

Thanks everyone...I think I have it tweaked for our particular needs this weekend.

I'll have to look at it again if I decide at some point to make this server public. For now it's our own private clan only playground.

I can't seem to get the end game voting system to show different maps. It's showing the same ones over and over and I have the rotation set to random.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I was missing the following from my cfg:

//set ex_map_vote_mode "0"

Everything is working fine once I added that back into the mapcontrol.cfg.

"blushes....and turns away red faced"
