The names may have changed but the mode of marketing deception and user abuse has not. The same garbage pulled on everyone over MW2 is now greatly enhanced and in full process for BO/MW3. Don't deny it, look at the whole picture.


You have no choice in GSP - dissatisfied? You lose! Monopoly
You hope for true, Hack, Cheat and Exploit protection.
You think you have full control over your rented servers with the ersatz dedicated servers.
You now know this release still uses DirectX 9.0c, no DX11 for you.
You hoped the Lag, CI's, Browser Trubs and disconnects would be fixed in the last patch, its still there for many.
MW2 .cfg files work fine with BO. Imagine that!! Is BO a combo of MW2 and WaW? Anybody's guess.
You hoped a high end machine would help.
You hope to see map/mod editors based on vague promises of "some" at "sometime in the future"
You now know Kotick favors Pay For DLC over subscription for CoD.
You must wear a headset lest the wife and kids hear all the foul language that's used in-game.

You know in your hearts you'll never see things as good as they were with the last great releases:

MW (Call of Duty Modern Warfare)
WaW (Call of Duty World at War)

We have the real deal with those. These last two releases (MW2 & BO) are pure scams in fancy graphics. Many have already noticed the graphics are superior in MW and WaW.

The wowie-zowies, cheerleaders, fanbois and apologists with their convoluted reasoning done to brown nose Activision/Treyarch misleads users into buying into the scam. They refuse to face the truth right along with RGN's detractors and naysayers who need to re-read this entire thread (http://forums.raidersmerciless.com/showthread.php?t=10387)!

Especially some of the original posters. Maybe they'll learn something this time around from the other original posters because they sure didn't the last time.

Those who found it all so convenient to sooth their own grandstanding agendas by stabbing RGN in the back for speaking up for the users and NOT Activision, IW and Treyarch need to learn a lesson or two about true user support. They will rue the day they betrayed themselves.
Don't forget to buy that BO Jeep and of course, that special BO Heat sink on the $500.00 vid card that doesn't do a damn thing for BO because its a DX11 card. DUH!

Now, where's the BO crayons, coloring books and pacifiers?

Activision has pulled off the best VOODOO MARKETING hustle I've seen in years! Even better than the MW2 BS parade. Can't deny that - look at the sales!!

Ok, we know that there are too many damn bugs & fails. Biggest the CPU hitching and low fps/lag.

We're already waiting couple of weeks. And I don't see any **** move forward.
At http://www.callofduty.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=71&t=313146 you can see "FIXES" or whatever they call it! But none is really helpful!

So, can anyone tell me what to do now? Have we all f*ck*ng payed for a BETA game? Will it ever be fixed? Will we get some money back?
There is so big lack of support and information comming from Activision.

I guess the problems are universal....

We squawked about the Releases of MW and WaW.. (forget MW2) but this BO release dwarfs all prior releases when it comes to problems and vague information to the users.

Clearly, that is the best advice always, but in this day and age no one (or very few) willing to wait before impulse buying and given the fact of the media blitz Activsion has put forth (anyone bought their version of the "Black Ops" Jeep Wrangler yet?) they have already succeeded sadly (of course not in the eyes of their share holders whom are laughing all the way to the bank).

Treyarch (Activision) released the PC version of Black Ops in a state that made it unplayable for many. Players complained of stuttering, low frames per second, and the game freezing on a regular basis. LoL!Vacations are one thing but I am certain that a few Devs living locally to ACTV would've gladly come in and worked on the BUGS.

In reality, ACTV probably frowns upon overtime pay.

People are NOT pleased with this release and rightfully so. For $60.00, the least Treyarch could've done was make sure the product was finished and working properly before shipping it!

One can only wonder when the Game BO will be virtually free from cheats, exploits and hacks.

Sure, there's VAC on the job but it doesn't come into play until someone reports an observation of questionable play - then Valve's people must evaluate and verify the validity of the complaint and finally, the signature of the proven cheat, exploit or hack must be included in the VAC DB.

45 - 60 days in 98 percent of the time.... quicker if proof positive is supplied with the complaint - but not much quicker.
