well im totally clueless in where to find the part where i need to edit to this so I was wondering if someone could tell me where they are

You havent read the readme did you?
All ww2x message strings that show ww2x, admin blahblah are in the custom.str folder....formerly they were spreaded all over the different str files.now they are in 1 str file...custom.str....how easy can i make it?

clan logo text same..read the readme files.....exclanlogo folder ... _ex_clanlogo.gsc

about the opening/menu's picture and thankfully to message...sorry but did i miss something and did you create this mod or contributed to it?....and aint it helpfull for clients to know what kind of server they are on and what version of what mod it runs?

i dont take or want much credit....but its common (well it should be) curtousy to leave some credits intact...that also includes leaving the credits txt file in the mod.....but ofcours like i said...those ww2x ingame messages and gametypes , clanlogo etc you can change....just read the documents..oh and the red dots in compass...remove the compassping_enemyfiring file from the materials folder

Outside of Clan Logo Why Not Just add your clan name in Front of those setting

After Many Hours of work Putting Mod together,Credit should Be given.

=[XS]= WW2X...... Which identifies your clan and Mod Which Also identifies mod maker.

Changing ww2x logo At opening screen in my books not good idea

Clan Logo Can replace Default {Flags)one in game to identify Your Clan

i really dont mind you guys changing the ww2x : team deathmatch to yourclan : team deathmatch and such...nor the ingame messages..clanlogo picture..or clanlogo text.

i did put them together in the custom.str file just for that..to customise it more efficiently and easyer without going through a bunch of str files.

heck even the modinfo is in there

all i want is a little credit left behind and CERTAINLY those with astoroth and wizzard in them.....lets be fair...they started it all.....(namely wizz)
for myself..bleh...im just a guy that doesnt need much credit.lol.....

99% of the modding/admin community dont know me im sure....i realy dont mind that...its peacefull...nor do i strive (spelling?) to get a name in that community....i just like to help out.

some say your to moddest....perhaps i am...but thats me..i just do my 2 cents worth....im still learning..not even near the likes off a Bell, Wizz, bullet worm, astoroth, mathius, Ned, oddball....etc etc
I like it in the shade so to speak.lol

5: Open up the file called WW2X_svr_1.6.iwd (using Winrar) and in there you see several folders, go in to the one called exclanlogo and you will find the gsc file that holds the server name,
associate the gsc with notepad or the like and edit the name in between quotes ONLY!, save the file and then your clans name will appear bottom right.

6: Within WW2X1.6.iwd go in to the folder called localizedstrings, and associate the custom.str file with you text editor (do not use EXCEL!), inside this file is where you set your custom text to appear on screen in the game,
follow the instructions carefully and DO NOT ALTER the structure of the file, just the text between the quotes (you must leave the quotes)

just having one more problem.. where is says [myclan]http://mysitehere well I cant find where that is located... i looked inside the info strings folder but could not find it... I redownloaded the mod and I see a documents folder with the same readme and 5 others for the different gametypes... maybe im blind??? lol

ok sorry about that... now i know ive seen this in the readme file somewhere but i cant find it anywhere im uploading the mod to an ftp site... which one should I use?? sorry to be such a noob...

well obviously the windows version if the server you host cod2 on is a windowws server......linux files for an linux server....

for info string limitation .i would use the single iwd setup OR unpack the serverside of the seperate iwd files on your server (serverside iwd only)....that way you can edit/customise/replace files easy without the client needing to download the whole mod again......handy if a script has an error...simply replace and restart....i use it like that.

Something I do is to make an additional IWD file with my personal changes in it and name it zzz***.iwd. I put the custom str file in there along with other weapon and smoke related files and leave the main IWD's untouched.

It loads my custom changes first and overwrites the main files. This way I don't have to edit the main client side IWD for each version for the most part. Of course I always check the files to see if there are any additional lines of code or other changes that I may need in my custom files.

ive had a ton of trouble trying to install the new version.. its been over 36 hours and after contacting my provide i got the server restarted... so i added the mod with NOTHING changed (excluding the cod configuration file) and now im getting this message... sorry I dont know where to find this.... by the way its definatly not in the configuration file...

Its located in the codserver.cfg, you must change this to your own redirect site...or if you dont have one you must comment this out (put // in front of it):

You will get this message if you dont have the clientside (if 2 iwd setup) or the whole mod (1 iwd setup) in the corresponding fs_game map in your client

then i think its because that seta sv_wwwBaseURL "http://YOUR.SITE.COM/custom"


is now also in your config_mp_server.cfg....or however thats called on windows.

this in your case would normally placed in the players directory i think....or writen in a cfg file in there.

its true that if i change from redirect adresses i have to delete this config_mp_server.cfg before i restart the server.....it does not overwrite this file on restart.....but does generate a new fresh one if there isnt one

well it was actually a problem with moving the server back down to 1.0 (i know its not fully compatible on 1.0...) so thats working now... I think im going to wait a while before I update it again lol but :bravo: on the mod i love it. another stupid question i do see RaDioAcTivE's post but i was wondering if i could just take the weapons files and replace them with the weapons files in this mod..(im wondering if they would work like they do in the other mod, they are more accurate, shot faster, and have less reload time) again thanks for all the help
